Use of convex ostomy flange and depressed stoma

Today, I had gone to National Cancer Hospital, Jawalakhel for management of complication of leakage from colostomy bag. The patient was wearing a flat colostomy bag but his stoma was depressed. So he complained that he had to change bag three times a day  which caused peristomal skin irritation and excoriation. So, in this situation, I applied ostomy powder around the stoma and selected convex flange because it will fit depressed stoma properly. So I hope you will also follow the same process for appliying colostomy bags on depressed stoma.
